2013 Grand Prix Stakes – Nominations Released

Nominations have been released for the Group 3 Grand Prix Stakes, which is due to run at Doomben Racecourse this Saturday May 25, 2013.

A total of 29 horses have nominated for the 2013 Grand Prix Stake, including Dear Demi.

Dear Demi has won six of her 21 race starts and has earned more than $1.46 million in prize money during her horse racing career.

The Dehere filly won her most recent start in the Group 3 The Roses at Doomben last start over 2,000 metres.

Prior to that performance, Dear Demi finished second to Royal Descent in the Group 1 ATC Australian Oaks at Royal Randwick Racecourse on May 18.

Also included in the 2013 Grand Prix Stakes nominations is Usainity.

Usainity has won four of his eight race starts and has earned more than $120,000 in prize money during his career.

The three-year-old placed third in the Group 3 Rough Habit Plate at Eagle Farm Racecourse last start after winning the Group 3 Frank Packer Plate at Royal Randwick in April.

Usainity, who is trained in New Zealand by Murray Baker, will be having his third Australian race start when he lines up for this weekend’s 2013 Grand prix Stakes.

Honorius, Laser Flash and Smiles For Layla are also include of the 2013 Grand Prix Stakes nominations.
