Grand Prix Stakes Field

The Grand Prix Stakes field, as a fairly prestigious race, tends to attract quite a lot of local talent. Since the race was downgraded to Group 3 in 2006, however, the reduced purse and reduced significance of the race has caused an impact on the quality of the field. Even so, we can still expect to see some solid three year olds in the Grand Prix Stakes field each season.

2017 Grand Prix Stakes Field

The 2017 Grand Prix Stakes field lists a number of really sound horses. With $150,000 total prize money up this year, we can expect to see the Grand Prix Stakes put on a good show. Like in many recent years, the 2016 Grand Prix Stakes field won’t be the standout it has been in the past. Nevertheless, we can expect a great race from the Grand Prix Stakes field.
